Method
1.Cook pasta in plenty of boiling salted water for 10-12 minutes or until tender but firm to the bite. Drain: reserve 1/4 cup cooking liquid. Return pasta to pan.
2.Combine cream and pesto in a medium frying pan over a low heat. Cook and stir for 5 minutes or until mixture comes to the boil.
3.Add pasta, reserved cooking liquid and chives to cream sauce; toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon onto plates; top with salmon and extra chives.
Buy smoked salmon in packets from the chilled food section.
