1.Combine garlic, ginger, kecap manis and lime juice in a bowl. Add pork and onion; toss to combine. Cover. Marinate in fridge 30 minutes.
2.Thread pork and green onion onto skewers. Spray a char-grill or barbecue plate with cooking oil spray and heat on high. Cook skewers, turning, 5-6 minutes, until browned and cooked.
3.To make asian herb salad, combine greens, herbs and chilli. Whisk together lime juice and oil; season to taste. Add to salad; toss to combine.
4.Divide pork and salad between plates. Serve with extra kecap manis and rice.
Thai purple basil is sold in selected supermarkets and Asian food shops. If you’d like to try different flavours to suit your taste, substitute the herbs in the salad for a mix of tarragon, parsley, chervil, basil or dill.
