Nasi goreng

Create authentic-tasting nasi goreng with this quick and easy recipe. A traditional fried rice dish from Indonesia with eggs, chicken, coriander and plenty of spicy Asian flavours.

Ingredients

Method

1.In a large wok or frying pan, heat half the oil on high. Stir-fry chicken and prawns 2-3 minutes, until cooked. Transfer to a large bowl.
2.Heat remaining oil on medium. Stir-fry green onion, garlic and chilli 1 minute, until fragrant.
3.Add rice, stirring to break up any lumps. Mix in kecap manis, juice, sauces and coriander. Stir-fry 2-3 minutes, until heated through. Serve with fried egg, lime, tomato and cucumber, and top with extra coriander.

1 cup of raw rice makes 3 cups cooked. Allow to cool before adding to this dish.
