Method

1.Place half the lettuce over the base of a large serving dish. Arrange tomato over lettuce to form an even layer. Repeat with avocado and beans. Top with remaining lettuce and cheese.
2.Arrange half the chips over cheese. Top with spoonfuls of salsa. Sprinkle with onion. Serve salad with remaining chips.

Make it a main: To turn salad into a main meal, add a protein-rich food, such as leftover chicken, beef or lamb, canned salmon, drained canned beans, tofu, cheese or boiled eggs.
