Method

1.Preheat oven to moderate, 180° C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2.In a bowl, combine mince, carrot, breadcrumbs, parsley, egg and tomato sauce; season with pepper to taste.
3.Mould tablespoons of mixture into balls; place on prepared baking tray. Bake 15-20 minutes. Remove from tray and drain on paper towel.
4.To serve, place meatballs in pita bread with lettuce, cheese and tomato chutney.

To make a meatloaf, double meatball ingredients and press mixture into a 10 x 20cm loaf pan. Bake in a moderate oven, 180°C, 1 hour. Cool and serve sliced with salad or in sandwiches.
