Method
1.Preheat oven to hot, 200°C. Cut 6 x 11cm rounds from pastry sheets. Ease pastry into 6 x 8cm, greased, loose-based tart pans.
2.Using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar in a small bowl until creamy. Add egg; beat well. Fold through almond meal and ginger.
3.Spread 2 tablespoons of almond mixture into base of each tart shell. Slice each pear piece into three; arrange on top of filling.
4.Bake 30 minutes, or until filling is set and golden. Serve warm, with pouring custard.
