Method

1.Preheat oven to 230°C (210°C fan-forced). Heat oil in a flameproof roasting pan on high heat. Add sausages; cook and turn for 2 minutes or until browned. Add onion, capsicum, apple, garlic and thyme; stir to combine. Bake for 10 minutes. Drizzle maple syrup over sausage mixture in pan. Bake for a further 3 minutes or until sausages are cooked.
2.Meanwhile, place beans in a heatproof bowl. Cover with boiling water. Stand for 5 minutes or until just tender. Drain.
3.Serve sausages with beans.

Green capsicum can be used instead of red capsicum, or you could use half of each. No flameproof roasting pan? Cook sausages in a frypan, then transfer to a roasting pan that has been preheated in the oven.
