Method

1.Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease and line a 10cm x 20cm loaf pan with baking paper.
2.Fold 3/4 cup flour and chocolate into one bowl, alternately with milk. Fold remaining flour into second bowl with juice and zest. Spoon the two mixtures alternately into pan.
3.In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar and vanilla together, until pale and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Divide into 2 bowls.
4.Bake 40-45 minutes, until cooked when tested. Cool in pan 5 minutes, before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely.
5.To make icing, in a bowl, beat butter until pale using an electric mixer. Gradually beat in icing sugar then enough milk to make a spreadable consistency. Spread icing over cold loaf. Sprinkle with zest and serve sliced.

Use a wooden skewer to swirl the different mixtures together in the pan.
