Beef burgers

It's hard to resist a classic beef burger ... a filling and nourishing meal in a bun! This recipe is super-quick and easy and can be cooked on the barbie instead of the stove top.

Ingredients

Method

1.Heat half of oil in a non-stick frying pan on high. Saute onion for 3 minutes or until softened. Cool.
2.In a bowl, combine onion with mince, breadcrumbs, parsley, egg and tomato sauce. Season to taste. Shape mixture into 4 patties.
3.Heat remaining oil in a frying pan. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes each side or until cooked through. Melt a cheese slice over each patty.
4.Top buns with patties and remaining ingredients. Serve with extra tomato sauce.

Tip: You can use onion marmalade or jam for an easy alternative to cooked onion.
