Method

1.Preheat oven to 220°C or 200°C fan. Grease a 30cmx20cm slice pan.
2.Roll, then pat dough out to a 30cm x 40cm rectangle. Brush with melted butter. Evenly scatter over strawberries and currants. Starting at one long edge, roll up dough tightly. Cut into 12 x 3cm slices. Place, cut sides up, in pan so they sit snugly together. Brush with milk and dust with combined cinnamon and sugar.
3.Bake for 30 minutes, until golden and risen.

Try using drained canned peaches instead of strawberries and, remember, these scrolls taste best the day they’re made.
