1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Line two baking trays with baking paper.
2.Beat butter, sugar and malt syrup, until pale and creamy. Add egg, beat well to combine.
3.Sift in flour, baking powder and salt. Fold into mixture with all chocolate.
4.Roll heaped tablespoons of the mixture onto prepared trays. Flatten slightly, leaving a gap between each one.
5.Bake 18 minutes, or until lightly golden. Leave on wire rack to cool.
