Method
1.Place the NESTLÉ HIGHLANDER Sweetened Condensed Milk and butter in a medium saucepan and heat gently, stirring until the butter in melted.
2.Add the brown sugar and syrup and cook over a low heat, the ingredients in a saucepan over stirring constantly to prevent burning. When golden and thickened allow it to cool to room temperature. The sauce will thicken on cooling.
3.Re-heat in short bursts in the microwave, stirring between each burst or heat gently in a saucepan to pouring consistency.
Note
- Store the sauce in sterilised jars and use as a dipping sauce for biscuits or drizzle into a banana split, ice cream sundae or serve with a sticky date pudding.
