Quick homemade beans on toast

Store bought baked beans are often loaded with unwanted sugar and preservatives. Whip up a tasty batch of your own with this delicious recipe, combining salty bacon, hearty beans and a beautifully fragrant tomato sauce. Serve on it's own or with a side of eggs and toast.

Ingredients

Method

1.Heat oil in a pan on medium. Cook bacon and onion 4-5 minutes, until lightly browned. Add paprika. Cook 30 seconds, until fragrant.
2.Add tomato, syrup and beans. Cook, stirring, 3-4 minutes, until thickened. Season.
3.Spoon beans over toasted ciabatta. Scatter over parsley; serve.
