Glace icing
Method
1.Trim edges of cake; cut into 12 x 1cm-thick slices. Using a 6.5cm heart-shaped cutter, cut a heart from each slice of cake.
2.Spread jam and cream over 6 cake pieces. Top with remaining pieces to sandwich together.
3.To make glace icing, combine icing sugar, milk, vanilla and butter in a heatproof bowl. Stir over a saucepan of gently simmering water until icing is smooth. Tint with food colouring.
4.Spoon icing over cakes. Dust with icing sugar when set.
