Choc chunk Easter egg cookies

Add an extra sweet touch to your Easter spread with these cute choc chunk cookies. Topped with chocolate mini eggs, this recipe is perfect for creating and sharing with the kids

Method

1.Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease and line 4 oven trays with baking paper.
2.Sift combined flours into a large bowl. Stir in caster sugar, brown sugar, butter, chocolate, egg, yolk and vanilla to form a dough.
3.Roll heaped tablespoons of mixture into balls. Arrange evenly on trays about 4cm apart (see tip). Flatten slightly with the clean, floured palm of your hand.
4.Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden. Top hot cookies with chopped eggs. Cool completely on trays. Store in an airtight container.
  • You need to leave room on trays to allow for spreading.
