Individual pear strudels

A beautiful golden and flaky pastry surrounds a warm cinnamon pear filling. Stuffed with creamy ricotta and dusted with icing sugar, these individual strudels are the ultimate fast dessert!

Ingredients

Method

1.Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C. fan-forced). Lightly grease a baking tray with spray.
2.Working with 2 sheets of filo pastry at a time, fold in halves and spray with oil.
3.In a bowl, combine ricotta, brown sugar and cinnamon. Place an equal amount of mixture onto each piece of filo.
4.Top with an even amount of pear. Gather pastry around pear to form a “money bag” shape (or wrap to form a parcel).
5.Place pastries on prepared tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Serve dusted with icing sugar and low-fat cream.

Make sure your canned fruit is well drained on a paper towel. Any canned fruit could be used for this recipe.
