Method

Pineapple pizza cake

1.Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease and line a 20cm round cake pan.

2.Make cake mix following packet instructions. Pour into prepared pan. Smooth top.

3.Bake for 35-40 minutes until cooked when tested. Cool in pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

4.Place cake on board. In separate bowls, tint half the icing yellow and the remaining icing red.

5.Spread yellow icing around sides of cold cake and 2cm around edge of top. Spread red icing over top of cake like pizza sauce.

Decorations

6.Sprinkle yellow sprinkles over red icing to look like cheese.

7.Top with pineapples, liquorice twists, smarties and chopped snake.

Cut a wedge from the cake to make it look just like a pizza ready to serve! Attach candles to board using a little icing, or insert into cake.
