These gluten-free fruit and nut chocolate brownies are fantastic to enjoy with friends or family for a decadent afternoon tea treat, accompanied with a hot cup of tea or coffee
1.Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease and line an 18 x 28cm slice pan with baking paper.
2.In a medium saucepan, combine butter, dark chocolate, sugar, water and cocoa. Stir over low heat until smooth. Leave to cool for 10 minutes, then stir in eggs.
3.In a large bowl, combine chocolate mixture with almond meal and white chocolate. Pour into pan, then bake for 25 minutes until top is just firm.
Topping
4.In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Sprinkle over part-cooked brownie, then bake for 10-15 minutes until cooked through. Set aside for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool. Cut into squares to serve.
For speed, omit the brownie topping and simply sprinkle over some chunky pieces of chopped gluten-free chocolate.
