Mexican chilli sliders

Bolognese sauce gets a spicy makeover with this Mexican chilli slider recipe! These quick and easy sliders are perfect for entertaining a crowd or a fun dinner with the family

  • 2 1/2 cup basic bolognese sauce (recipe link in method)
  • 400 gram can three-bean mix, rinsed, drained
  • 2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 8 round dinner rolls, split
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 2 spring onions, finely sliced
  • 1/3 cup coriander leaves
  • hot sauce to serve (optional)

    In a medium saucepan, heat bolognese, beans and spices on medium until simmering. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring, to infuse flavours.

    Spread rolls with sour cream, then top with cabbage and spring onion.

    Spoon over bolognese and sprinkle with coriander. Serve with hot sauce.


Accompany with chopped avocado and grated cheese, if desired.
