Sumac beef meatballs and potatoes with garlic yoghurt

Discover deliciously tart, lemony sumac with this recipe. Homemade beef meatballs are spiked with sumac spice and served with golden baked potatoes and garlicky yoghurt sauce. Serve for a delicious dinner

Ingredients

Method

1.Preheat oven to 200°C. Line an oven tray with baking paper.
2.In a large frying pan, heat half the oil on high. Cook onion for 4-5 minutes. Add 2 teaspoons of each spice and chilli. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Cool.
3.In a bowl, combine mince, crumbs, parsley, egg, paste and cooled onion. Season.
4.Roll rounded tablespoons into balls. Place on tray and chill for 10 minutes.
5.Toss potatoes in a baking dish with remaining oil and spices. Season. Bake for 30 minutes.
6.In a pan, heat oil on high. Cook meatballs for 6-8 minutes, turning.
7.Add meatballs and tomatoes to potatoes. Bake for 10 minutes. Stir spinach through. Serve drizzled with yoghurt and garlic.
