Spaghetti marinara

All your favourite seafood is combined in this quick and delicious spaghetti marinara. Feel free to take a shortcut with a good marinara mix or choose your own favourite seafood.

Ingredients

Method

1.Heat oil in a large, heavy-based saucepan on medium. Add onion and garlic, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes.
2.Increase heat to high. Add wine and boil for 3 minutes, until reduced by half. Add tomato sauce, stir well to combine and bring to the boil.
3.Add mussels, cover and cook, shaking pan frequently, for 3 minutes, until mussels have started to open. Add fish and prawns and cook, uncovered, for 3-4 minutes, until just tender. Add sugar and basil. Season to taste and stir gently to combine.
4.Meanwhile, cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling water according to packet instructions. Drain, return to pan, add marinara sauce and combine. Serve with extra basil leaves.

The beard is the fibrous hair that mussels use to attach themselves to rocks. To debeard, give it a sharp tug to remove.
