1.Preheat the oven to 210°C.
2.In a large frying pan, brown the lamb mince, crumbling with a masher to fine crumbs.
3.Add the onion, garlic, mushrooms, carrot and celery with the rosemary and thyme and cook gently until the vegetables are tender.
4.Stir in the flour then add the stock a little at a time, mixing well. Add the passata and bring the mixture to the boil. When heated through, pour the mince mixture into an ovenproof dish.
5.Brush a sheet of the filo lightly with melted butter, then crumple it and place it on top of the filling, repeat with the rest of the filo sheets to completely cover the filling.
6.Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
  • This recipe could be assembled as individual pot pies and frozen unbaked until needed.
