Method

1.Preheat oven to 150°C. Lightly grease a 23cm springform pan and line base and sides with baking paper.
2.In a bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar together until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.
3.In a bowl, combine ground hazelnuts, polenta, baking powder and orange zest. Fold into creamed mixture alternately with orange juice.
4.Pour mixture into pan, smoothing top. Bake for 55-60 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely.
5.Dust with icing sugar. Serve in wedges topped with extra grated zest. Accompany with thick cream.
