Method
1.Combine strawberries in a bowl with 2-4 teaspoons sugar and toss will. Stand 20mins, tossing from time to time. Remove a quarter of these strawberries and chop fairly coarsely. Set other strawberries aside separately.
2.Place cream and extra tablespoon sugar in a bowl and whip until thick.
3.Crumble meringues into cream, reserving one meringue for the top, and fold together with the chopped strawberries. Lightly fold in the remaining halved or quartered strawberries, leaving a few to scatter on top.
4.Arrange mixture in bowls. Scatter with remaining strawberries and crumble remaining meringue over.
