Method
1.Reserve ½ cup of frosting. Tint remaining frosting yellow. Remove icing from tops of loaf cakes; level cake tops. Secure one cake, cut-side down, on cake board with a little frosting; spread cake top with ¼ cup yellow frosting. Top with remaining cake.
2.Using picture as a guide, stack and position muffin bars at one end of loaf cake to make front of bus, securing with a little yellow frosting.
3.Spread yellow frosting over top, front and bottom half of the bus, as pictured, but don’t frost the window area; reserve about 1 tablespoon of the frosting. Spread the reserved white frosting over top half of cake for bus windows.
4.Cut lengths of licorice strap and position around base of cake. Secure jubes to front of bus as headlights.
5.Cut remaining licorice strap into long thin strips; using picture as a guide, trim and position strips as windows and wipers. Using reserved frosting, secure biscuits to sides of cake for wheels.
We used black and brown chocolate rocks to decorate around the side of the road and in the ‘park’ area.
