Ingredients
4 slice raisin bread
1 green apple, cored, chopped
1/3 cup roasted almonds, chopped
ground cinnamon
2/3 cup top ’n’ fill caramel
butter to spread
icing sugar, ice cream, caramel to serve
Method
1. Preheat a sandwich maker. Place raisin bread slices ona board. Top each slice of bread evenly with apple, almonds and a sprinkling of cinnamon.
2. Drizzle caramel topping over. Top with more raisin bread slices. Spread outsides with butter, then toast for 4-5 minutes until golden.
3. Dust with icing sugar and serve with ice cream, drizzled with extra caramel sauce.
Swap fresh apple for 1 cup canned pie apples, if preferred.
