Method
1.Blanch peaches in a bowl of boiling water for 5-10 seconds. Plunge into a bowl of iced water, to stop them from cooking any further.
2.Peel away peach skins. Transfer to a bowl.
3.In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar and paste. Stir over low heat until sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil on high. Reduce heat to low and simmer, without stirring, for 5 minutes. Pour syrup over peaches in bowl. Allow to cool. Chill until ready to serve.
