Fairy pancake shapes

These cute pancakes, topped with hundreds and thousands, are just the job for children's birthday parties or any other celebration for little ones.

Method

Fairy pancakes shapes

1.Sift flour into a large bowl. Stir in sugar.
2.In a jug, whisk milk, eggs and butter together. Gradually add to flour mixture, whisking until smooth. Cover and set aside for 15 minutes.
3.Heat a non-stick frying pan on medium. Brush pan with a little extra butter. Pour 1/3 cup batter into pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until bubbles start to appear on surface. Turn and cook for a further 1-2 minutes, until golden. Repeat with remaining batter. Cool. Using 6cm cutters of choice, cut shapes from pancakes.
4.TOPPING: Spread butter over cooled pancake shapes. Dip into hundreds-and-thousands to decorate.

We used heart, star, square and round cutters.
