Food Truck Garage has added a third store to their rapidly expanding fresh fast food empire with a new takeaway-only Ponsonby location.
The new store stays true Food Truck Garage aesthetic and food ethos, featuring a tuned-up menu heavy with nutrient-dense meals and dessert alternatives. Owner Nick Ward says Anthony McNamara (former head chef at Waiheke’s renowned Oyster Inn) has had a tinker with the menu “but our recipe is exactly the same: use free range, locally-sourced ingredients to create food that tastes good and does you good.”
The new menu features enhanced favourites like the Superbowl – a turbo boosted version of Food Truck’s cult classic Redergize salad. You’ll also find vegan-friendly dessert alternatives like raw cheesecake packed with superfood Acai berries and cashew nuts.
Die-hard fans need not worry, the core classics are still on offer with the Beefroot Burger, Burrito Bowl, Burnt Broccoli and Jelly-Tip Fro-Yo all finding their way onto the Ponsonby menu, as well as the promise of bringing back some of the most loved dishes from the past four years for special monthly appearances.
