Make any moment an occasion
Entertaining is easy in spring. When the weather plays ball, there’s nothing better than clearing out the cobwebs and gathering friends and family for a long and leisurely picnic outdoors.
This Italian-style set-up is inspired by Copper Kettle Special Reserve Sea Salt & Black Truffle deluxe potato crisps – the perfect sophisticated snack. Elegantly understated, these potato crisps have an earth savouriness, thanks to the black truffle, with a background black pepper note that pairs beautifully with your go-to nibbles and a refreshing jug of something fruity and fun.

Menu
Pick a theme and choose your snacks and nibbles around that. In this Italian picnic, we’ve gone for salty olives, cured meats and a creamy dip to complement the Copper Kettle Special Reserve Sea Salt & Black Truffle potato crisps.
Styling tips:
Bring out your favourite jar or mug for an informal cutlery holder.
Add colour and texture to your table with fabric. Shop for offcuts in colours and patterns to complement your theme.
Use wooden boards for serving snacks. Chips look much more exciting piled high on a board compared to in a bowl.
Create a casual feel by stacking your plates so guests can help themselves.
Get creative with your napkins – rather than a traditional fold, knot them or bunch them up and tie with twine.
Remember, not everything has to match! Create a casual summer feel by mixing up your dinner and tableware.
Zesty Aperol Spritz
Timeless, stylish and sophisticated – the Aperol spritz is the drink to have at your next get-together! Prosecco and soda mingle with Aperol, an Italian apéritif made of bitter orange and rhubarb, for a fun and flirty tipple.

60ml Prosecco or sparkling wine
30ml Aperol
15ml gin (optional)
Splash of soda water
Slice of orange/lime/tangelo
