Ingredients
1/2 cup (125ml) mirin
1/3 cup (80ml) light soy sauce
1/4 cup (55g) firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon sake
4 centimetre piece fresh ginger (20g), grated finely
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon sesame oil
750 gram beef fillet, sliced thinly
300 gram fresh baby corn, halved
250 gram sugar snap peas, trimmed
250 gram broccoli, cut into little florets
1 1/2 cup bean sprouts
Method
1. Combine mirin, sauce, sugar, sake, ginger, garlic, oil and seeds in large bowl. Stir in beef, corn, broccoli and sugar snap peas; stand 5 minutes.
2. Drain beef mixture over medium saucepan; reserve marinade.
3. Cook beef and vegetable mixture, in batches, on heated oiled grill plate (or grill or barbecue) until browned all over and cooked as desired.
4. Meanwhile, bring marinade to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.
5. Serve beef and vegetables drizzled with hot marinde; sprinkle with sprouts.
