Method

1.Combine char siu sauce, soy sauce and garlic in a large bowl. Add chicken and stir to coat well. Cover and place in refrigerator for 1 hour to marinate.
2.Preheat grill on high. Thread chicken onto 16 bamboo skewers (see Notes) and grill, brushing with any leftover marinade for 3-4 minutes each side, until cooked through.
3.Scatter with sesame seeds and serve.

Once the chicken is cooked, don’t brush it with any more marinade, as it has been exposed to raw chicken. Discard any leftover marinade. Soak the bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes while the chicken is marinating to prevent them from burning. makes 16
