Spiced beef and hummus wraps
- 800 gram thick boneless sirloin steaks
- 2 tablespoon middle eastern spice mix
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 4 pieces mountain bread or lavash or pita
- 1/2 cup (130g) hummus
- 2 large (180g) tomatoes, sliced thickly
- 1 (180g) baby cos lettuce
- 1/4 cup (70g) greek-style yogurt
Method
Spiced beef and hummus wraps
- 1Trim excess fat from steaks and sprinkle with Middle Eastern spice mix.
- 2Cook steaks on a heated, oiled grill pan (or barbecue or pan-fry) for about 5 minutes on each side or until done as desired. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- 3Serve steaks sliced with bread, hummus, tomato, lettuce and yoghurt.
