Hazelnut hard sauce
  • 125 gram softened unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (160g) sifted icing (confectioners’) sugar
  • 2 tablespoon pouring cream
  • 2 tablespoon hazelnut-flavoured liqueur
  • 1 tablespoon orange-flavoured liqueur
  • zested strips of one orange rind

    Beat butter and icing sugar in a small bowl with an electric mixer until as white as possible. Beat in cream, hazelnut-flavoured liqueur, and orange-flavoured liqueur. Serve topped with zested strips of orange rind.
