Five-spice pork with almonds
This delicious Asian-inspired stir-fry can be served on rice or noodles and is super quick to make, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
- 750 g pork fillets, sliced thinly
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 carrot, cut into long thin strips
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tbsp finely grate fresh ginger
- 4 baby bok choy, halved lengthways
- 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 100 g snow peas, trimmed
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1/3 cup blanched almonds, roasted, chopped coarsely
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Method
- 1Combine pork and spices in a large bowl, mixing well.
- 2Heat half the oil in a wok over high heat. Stir-fry pork mixture, in batches, until pork is browned and tender. Remove from wok.
- 3Heat the remaining oil in wok. Add carrot, garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 2 minutes, then add bok choy, sauces, lime juice and hot water. Stir-fry for 4 minutes or until bok choy is tender.
- 4Return pork to wok with snow peas. Stir-fry until heated through. Top with sprouts and nuts. Serve with lime wedges.
