Barbecue prawns with avocado salsa
These tasty barbecue prawns are perfect accompanied with avocado salsa are enjoyed as a delicious starter.

Ingredients
- 800 gram prawns, peeled and tails intact
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
- sea salt
Avocado salsa
- 1 -2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 avocado, peeled and roughly chopped
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method
- 1Place the prawns, oil, garlic, lime juice, coriander, cumin and chilli flakes in a bowl and mix. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- 2Meanwhile, to make the avocado salsa combine the tomato, avocado, red onion and lime juice in a small bowl. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- 3Heat a barbecue hot plate to piping hot. Lift the prawns from the marinade and cook for 3-4 minutes, turning until the prawns are pink. Season with sea salt while cooking. Serve the prawns with the salsa.
