Method
1.Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C (180°C). Lightly grease and line a 20cm square cake pan with baking paper.
2.Spoon cake mixture into pan and smooth top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until cooked when tested with a skewer. Cool in pan for 5 minutes before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely. Trim top of cake to create a flat, even surface.
3.Divide butter cream into 3 bowls. Tint each a different colour. Cut cake into 16 even squares. Using a butter knife, spread butter cream over sides and top of each piece.
4.Arrange iced squares on game board. Scatter snakes around cakes to serve.
