Method
1.Place cereal, sugar, dates and milk in a medium bowl; soak for 1 hour.
2.Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Grease and line a 19x9cm (base measurement) loaf pan with baking paper, extending at long sides for handles.
3.Add remaining ingredients to mixture; using a spoon, peat well to combine. Spread mixture into prepared pan; smooth surface. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until cooked when a skewer inserted at centre comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes in pan. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Slice to serve.
Decorate with extra dates and nuts halfway through baking.
