Ingredients: 2 tablespoon caster sugar; 1 drop pink food colouring; 1/4 lime; 1/2 cup raspberry vodka; 3/4 cup ruby-red grapefruit juice; 1 bottle dry champagne or sparkling wine

2 tablespoon caster sugar

1 drop pink food colouring

1/4 lime

1/2 cup raspberry vodka

3/4 cup ruby-red grapefruit juice

1 bottle dry champagne or sparkling wine

Method

1.Combine the sugar and food colouring in a small bowl and stir until the sugar has turned pink.

2.Rim the top of 6 champagne flutes with the lime wedge and dip in the sugar.

3.Place 1 tablespoon of vodka in a each champagne glass, followed by 1 1/2 tablespoon of grapefruit juice.

4.Top with champagne and serve immediately.
