Method
1.Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease and line four oven trays with baking paper.
2.Sift flours into a large bowl. Stir in caster and brown sugar, butter, choc bits, egg, yolk and vanilla until well mixed.
3.Roll heaped tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls. Arrange evenly on prepared trays, about 4cm apart. Flatten slightly with a clean, floured, palm of your hand.
4.Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden. Cool on trays for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
Biscuits often spread during cooking, that’s why they are spaced apart on trays for baking.
