Nori, sesame and parmesan pastries

These tasty, flaky little pastries, seasoned with shards of nori, sesame and parmesan, make a great shared party platter. Use scissors to finely shred the nori.

Method

1.Preheat oven to 220°C/425°F.
2.Combine seaweed, cheese, seeds, sugar, salt and pepper in medium bowl.
3.Place pastry sheets on two pieces of baking paper. Brush pastry with butter. Sprinkle pastry with two-thirds of the cheese mixture, pressing mixture down into pastry. Using baking paper, fold each pastry sheet in half; press down to seal. Brush pastry with remaining butter; sprinkle with remaining cheese mixture, pressing mixture down into pastry. Fold sheets in half lengthways to form rectangle; press down to seal.
4.Place pastry on baking-paper-lined oven tray; refrigerate 30 minutes.
5.Using a sharp knife, trim ends; cut pastry into 1cm (½-inch) slices. Place slices, cut-side down, about 3cm (1¼ inches) apart on tray.
6.Bake pastries about 15 minutes or until puffed and golden.
