1.Combine spices, mint and teabags in teapot or heatproof jug. Bring combined milk and water to a boil, pour over spice mixture, stand 10 minutes.
2.Sweeten with a little sugar, if desired. Just before serving, strain.

For this spicy traditional Indian milk tea, we used English Breakfast tea ­but try experimenting with other varieties until you find one that suits your taste.
