Method
1.Place half wrappers on a board. Top each with a banana slice and a chocolate square. Brush border with egg. Top with a second wrapper and press edges to remove air bubbles and seal.
2.Heat oil in a large saucepan or wok, until a small piece of pastry sizzles as soon as it’s added.
3.Deep-fry in 3 batches, 20-30 seconds each side, until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towel and dust with icing sugar. Serve hot, with cream, if liked.
Try making a mini version by using one wrapper per fritter and folding in half.
