A gourmet take on the humble steak sanga, this beautiful sandwich is complete with fluffy Turkish bread, a juicy beef fillet, caramelised onions and a homemade sweet capsicum relish.
2.To make relish: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to boil on high. Reduce heat to low and simmer 25-30 minutes, until mixture is syrupy.
3.Heat butter and oil in a frying pan on high. Saute onions 2-3 minutes, until beginning to caramelise. Add tomatoes, cook 1-2 minute each side. Fry prosciutto until crisp. Keep warm.
4.In same pan, cook steak 3-4 minutes each side, or until cooked to your liking.
5.Top pide bases with tomatoes, onions, beef, prosciutto and relish. Top with other half of pide.
