Method

1.Cook pasta in plenty of boiling salted water for 10-12 minutes or until tender but firm to the bite. Drain; return to pan.
2.Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium saucepan over moderate heat until foaming. Stir in flour until blended.
3.Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Cook. stirring, for 3-4 minutes or until thick and bubbly. Reduce heat; add vegies. Simmer for 2-3 minutes or until vegies are tender. Remove from heat; stir in cheeses and parsley. Season with salt.
4.Stir cheese sauce through macaroni. Spoon into serving dishes. Top with ham; serve at once.

Omit parmesan; add extra tasty cheese. Pasta soaks up liquid on standing. Use small shell-shaped or risoni pasta if you like.
