Method
1.Place sausages in a saucepan of cold water. Bring to the boil, then turn down the heat and simmer for 5 minutes to partially cook sausages. Drain well and cut into chunks.
2.Heat a frying pan, add oil and sausages, then fry over a medium heat until browned all over. Add the onion and cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes to soften. Add garlic, then cook for 1 minute more.
3.Cook pasta in plenty of boiling salted water for 10 to 12 minutes or until just tender to the bite. Add frozen vegetables to the pasta for the final 2 minutes of cooking time.
4.Drain well and add to the frying pan with the sausages. Season with salt and pepper, then stir-fry over heat for 2 minutes to combine. Serve in bowls topped with a dollop of basil pesto and garnished with basil leaves.
