1.Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced). Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
2.Sift flour and salt into a medium bowl. Rub in butter to make crumbs. Make a well at centre; pour milk into well. Using a round-bladed knife, mix gently until dough comes together.
3.Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Divide dough into 8 portions. Roll out each portion to a 15cm (diameter) circle.
4.Combine cheese, pineapple and ham in a medium bowl.
5.For each calzone, top half the dough with an eighth of filling. Fold dough to enclose filling: press edge with a fork. Place on prepared trays; brush tops with extra milk. Sprinkle with herbs.
6.Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve at once.
Add chopped tomato or spinach to filling.
Note
