Method
1.Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes, according to packet instructions. Drain well.
2.Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium saucepan. Blend in flour. Cook, Stirring, for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
3.Gradually stir in milk until smooth. Return to heat and cook stirring, for 1-2 minutes until mixture boils and thickens.
4.Reduce heat. Simmer for 3 minutes. Fold in pasta, vegetables and half the cheese. Season to taste.
5.Preheat grill to hot. Pour mixture into a shallow, two-litre oven-proof dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Grill 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
Individual ramekins can be used, if preferred.
