Char-grilled steaks with café de paris butter & shoestring fries
This recipe will leave you with plenty of leftover café de paris butter, you can use it to make a spectacular kind of garlic bread or freeze it until you next cook steak.
1.To make café de paris butter, process ingredients, scraping down side of bowl as necessary, until smooth. Shape butter into two logs. Roll in plastic wrap then refrigerate (or freeze) until required. Slice one log into six pieces, use at room temperature. Freeze remaining log for another use.
2.Cook fries according to directions on packet.
3.Heat grill pan (or barbecue) over high heat until smoking. Rub steaks all over with oil, season. Cook steaks about 3 minutes each side or until cooked as desired. Transfer to a plate, cover loosely with foil; stand 6 minutes.
4.Serve steaks topped with butter; accompany with fries.
