Method

1.Preheat oven to 160°C (140°C fan).
2.Sift flour, cocoa powder and baking powder in bowl and combine well. Stir in sugar.
3.Lightly whisk eggs in jug. Mix in butter and milk.
4.Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients and add chopped chocolate. Fold in gently until just combined. Mixture will be lumpy because of the choc chunks.
5.Place muffin cases in holes of muffin pan. Transfer batter equally into cases, filling each to about three-quarters full.
6.Bake in oven for about 20 mins (see “Tip”). Remove halfway through cooking time to scatter tops of muffins with a few extra chopped Toblerone pieces. Allow to cool for 5 mins before unmoulding onto wire rack.
7.Serve muffins warm with a spoonful of vanilla ice-cream (optional).

EQUIPMENT: Sharp knife; large mixing bowl; sieve; wooden spoon; whisk; jug; 12-hole muffin pan; 12 paper muffin cases; metal skewer; wire rack To test if the muffin are cooked insert a skewer through the centre bits of melted chocolate on the skewer are fine, but gooey batter means they need longer in the oven
